Global scale-up looking for passionate Application Architect to join the team

• You closely align with both Head of Engineering and Head of Product on strategy and goals;
• You define the end-to-end architectural design of a scalable and resilient cloud SaaS platform, allowing for it to continue serving the growing customer base;
• You create/overview Proof-of-Concepts to validate all architectural choices;
• You make sure all architectural decisions and designs are documented;
• You evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks and services and ensure they align to the product’s needs and industry standards;
• You define the cloud-native infrastructure and deployment parts of the solution;
• You assess and optimize system performance, cost-efficiency and reliability;
• You mentor the teams, improve the engineering skillset within the company and ensure all teams work towards the same goals;
• You assist the team in enforcing secure coding practices with automation and occasional code reviews;
• You help solve customer, end-user and integration problems from an architecture perspective;
• You think constructively during brainstorm sessions about new features and improvements and optimizations of existing functionality;

• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional software-development environment, of which at least 4 years as a software architect with focus on SaaS;
• You have proven experience in building highly scalable systems for multi-tenant cloud platforms;
• You understand different software architectures for implementation and deployment and know how to use them as a tool rather than a religion;
• You have a good all-round knowledge of .NET and Azure and can support the team in taking the right technical decisions;
• You still have hands-on experience with .NET and Azure;
• You have a good understanding of different data stores (SQL/NoSQL);
• You are able to assist the team in setting up cloud infrastructure (as code) and DevOps/DevSecOps automation;
• You have experience with migrating live code bases from .NET Framework to .NET;
• Experience with SCRUM methodology is a must;
• You combine technical knowledge with a solid affinity for the functional;
• You have a keen interest in understanding the underlying business matter;
• You are results-oriented, work independently and take initiative;
• You are communicative and can explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• You are stress resistant when meeting deadlines;
• You are aware of the confidentiality of data and you know how to handle this;
• You speak Dutch and have a good knowledge of English.
